The final day of competition (June 8th) at the 49er/49erFX European Championship in Thessaloniki, Greece, yielded some remarkable results in both fleets.

In the 49ers, the NZL team of Seb Menzies and George Lee Rush secured the Championship win with a day to spare. However, the pair continued their dominance during the last day of racing to win the Championship by 54 points.

Meanwhile, in the 49erFX fleet, the day began as a three-way battle; however, the Canadian team of sisters Georgia and Antonia Lafrance dominated the day to win the Championship by ten points.
