Mackay Boats congratulates Seb and George on winning the 49er World Championships, sealing gold for New Zealand in a dramatic finish.

After taking control early in the finals, the Kiwi crew were put under pressure by a poor start in the deciding race. With Australia close behind and European teams charging in tricky light-to-medium conditions, the title was suddenly wide open.

But Seb and George found a way back when it mattered most, picking up a new breeze on the final run and crossing ahead of just enough boats to secure the world title.
